ok so I am one of those users that want to get the latest daemon tools working, but the generic trial starter just doesnt work for me. Anyone sharing my pain?
The way i found to get this to work is to completely block all daemon tool .exe from the its program files folder because it connects to its servers every time the program starts to check the date i guess which is why the trail starter doesnt work. I used eset to block all incoming and outgoing connections from all daemon tools related .exe files! and it works except you get a popup every time you start the progam telling u it cant connct to the internet and check your internet settings.

I dont know what images i can upload to prove it works you have to try this urself.
And i blocked the application from internet after it said evaluation period has expired, then i opened it and it says 9 days left, and its stuck there ever since. Im sure itll work no matter what say it has reached though, as long as the trial is activated.

EDIT: I just noticed, on my xp netbook 1005HA, the date it works on is 29 sept 2009. but on my windows 7 desktop pc, the date it works on is 17 january 2009. I guess its becuase its october right now and that isnt on the generic trial starter. Oh well, it still works! windows 7 didnt have an expired evaluation period, it had 11 days left since 3 days ago, still has 11 and no matter how much i change system dates, it stays 11 on desktop pc and 9 on netbook as long as i open it with starter.exe
